The River Allen is just 100 yards away. Salisbury Plain Cranborne Chase and the Forest afford excellent walking and Wilton House Kingston Lacy (N.T.) Saunton Sands Woolacombe and Croyde Bay are all within easy reach as are the bustling resort of Bude the spectacular coastal pathways around Hartland Point and the market town of Bideford from where visitors can take boat trips to the island of Lundy England’s only marine nature reserve. To the north lies Exmoor National Park: a beautiful setting for the resorts of Lynton and Lynmouth its wild landscapes and stunning coastline are a joy to explore on foot on horseback or by wheeled transport.
